An individual presents to an emergency department in Montreal feigning renal colic in search of opiates.
Unfortunately for him, the emergency doctor works in two hospitals; one in Montreal and also in a small rural hospital in Eastern Ontario, which just happens to be the home town of the drug seeker.
In the small town he is known for various ruses including presenting with “stones” which on analysis usually prove to be quartz, mica or field stone. Big city emergency doctor is also small town emergency doctor and knows the game.
Not his lucky day, the drug seeker leaves the ER opiate free.
Canada is a really small country.
